Sara was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, on April 4th, 1948, to her parents Luis Ortiz Garcia and Abina Pinero Olmedo. Sara was predeceased by her Parents, her Son: Luis Daniel Fardonk Ortiz and her Three Brothers: Jose Luis Ortiz Pinero, Angel Luis Ortiz Pinero and Julio Luis Ortiz Pinero.

Sara was loved by her family and she leaves her memories to be cherished by her Children: Louis Fardonk Ortiz, Carmelo Fardonk Ortiz, Jr., Miguel Angel Fardonk Ortiz and Maria Fardonk Ortiz, her Brother: Benedicto Ortiz Pinero, her Sisters: Diana Ortiz, Norma Ortiz Pinero and Maria De Lourdes Ortiz Pinero, Fourteen Grandchildren, Fourteen Great Grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
