Ramon Luis Villafane, affectionately known as "Café," was born on November 8, 1954, in the vibrant town of Santurce, Puerto Rico. He passed away on October 26, 2026, in Springfield, Massachusetts, just shy of his 72nd birthday. A dedicated and loving individual, Ramon's life was a testament to the strength and unity of family bonds. He spent his years working in shipping and receiving at a local factory, where his loyalty and work ethic were admired by all who knew him. Despite his quiet demeanor at work, those close to him knew of his witty humor that could light up any room.

Ramon's heart was always with his family, the most important aspect of his life. He was a loving father to Zuleyka, Rebecca, Mara, Christopher, Jennifer, and Ray. His beloved mother, Luz Mendez, held a special place in his heart, and his siblings Anita, Edwin, Lissette, Hector, Jose, Mirta, Gloria, and Carmencita were more than just family; they were his lifelong friends and confidants. Ramon's dedication to his family was unwavering, and his presence was a source of comfort and joy for all who knew him. His Catholic faith was a cornerstone of his life, providing him solace and strength, as reflected in the words of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Ramon's legacy is one of laughter, love, and unwavering loyalty. His humorous spirit and generous heart will be remembered fondly by his family and friends. The funeral service will be held at City Cremations, Inc., 130 Carew Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM., followed by his burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, 426 Bay Street, Springfield, MA.
