Lucila "Lucy" Soto-Oquendo Obituary (1954 - 2013)

Springfield- Lucila Soto-Oquendo, 59, passed away on Saturday, September 21. Lucy was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico to the late Luis Soto and Josephine Vazquez-Soto. She is survived by: her 3 sons, Raymundo Oquendo, Enrique Natal and Michael Alexander Dise and his father, Michael Dise who was a lifelong friend; 3 brothers, Luis Angel, William and Alberto Soto; 5 sisters, Margaret Soto-Chitolie, Adelina Soto-Estrella, Jeanette Soto, Maribel Soto and Marisol Soto; and her 2 grandsons, Jonathan Dise and Raymundo Anthony Oquendo. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed. The Funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 2, from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. at Puerta Del Cielo(r) Funeral Home, 730 State St., followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament. The Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. The Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, October 1, from 6 - 8 p.m. at 730 State St.
