Kevin Cartagena

We bid farewell to the vibrant soul of Kevin Alberto Cartagena Albaladejo, affectionately known as Cabezon, who was born on January 8, 1994, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, and left us too soon on December 23, 2025. Kevin, a resident of Springfield, Massachusetts, was a beacon of joy and positivity to all who knew him. His infectious laughter, warm smile, and genuine kindness made him a cherished friend, beloved son, and a much-loved family member.

Kevin lived life with an open heart and a spirit of adventure. He had an innate ability to find beauty in the simplest things and could turn an ordinary day into a memorable one with his unique sense of humor and zest for life. His love for his heritage and culture was evident in his everyday life, from his music choices to his culinary skills. Kevin was a true ambassador of Puerto Rican culture in Springfield, always ready to share a piece of his homeland with his friends and community.

Kevin leaves behind his loving mother, Sonia Albaladejo Valle, his stepfather who raised him, Jose Manuel Fontañez, his son, Jaydan Cartagena, his Brothers, Aureli Roman and Luis Otero, his uncle who he was aways with, Angel Albaladejo, and a host of family and friends, who will miss his infectious energy, his comforting presence, and his boundless love. Kevin's life may have been short, but the impact he made on the lives of those around him was profound and enduring.

A viewing for Kevin will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 5:00 PM o 7:00 PM, at Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home, located at 730 State Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, 01109. His interment will take place in Puerto Rico. We invite all who knew and loved Kevin to join us as we celebrate the life of a remarkable individual.
