Jose Antonio Velazquez

With a heavy heart, we share that Jose Velasquez peacefully passed away on July 10, 2025 surrounded by his three children, Sandra, Jannette, Jose, and family. Jose, affectionately known as Cheo, was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico on October 10, 1945.

He spent most of his adulthood in Massachusetts. Besides his 3 children, he leaves behind 5 siblings, 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren along with a host of extended family and friends. We will always remember him for his exceptional sense of humor and his love for his family and friends.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 6:00-8:00PM, at Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home, located at 730 State Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, 01109. We invite those who knew Jose to join us as we celebrate a life beautifully lived.
