Isabel Santiago

Springfield- Isabel Santiago, 72, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family and friends on Friday Jan. 7.at home. Isabel was also known to many as " Chabelin" she was born in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico to Pedro Santiago and Maria Forty. She leaves to cherish her memory: 5 sons Thomas, Jose, Jose A., Ramon and Leonardo Ocasio, 3 daughters Lydia, Elizabeth and Madeline Ocasio. 4 brothers, 2 sisters, a son in-law Jorge Ortiz who supported her through her battle with Alzheimer. She also leaves 19 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and many friends and family. She will be greatly missed. The Funeral will be held on Tue., Jan. 11, from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. at North End Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 130 Carew St., followed by a Mass at the Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The Calling Hours will be held on Mon., Jan 10, from 6 - 8 p.m.
