Hector DelValle

With a heart full of love and a spirit touched by sorrow, I, Danielle DelValle, write this tribute to my father, Hector DelValle, a man of exceptional character. Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico on July 17, 1963, Hector was a beacon of compassion and dedication, who made his journey to eternity on December 10, 2023. A humble man with a witty charm and a heart as vast as the ocean, Hector navigated life's tides, anchoring himself in Holyoke, Massachusetts. His personality was a unique blend of intelligence and stubbornness, a combination that often left him misunderstood, but never unappreciated.

"The deeds of a man, not the words of an oracle, determine his worth." Hector was a man of action, a silent hero who worked tirelessly to provide for his family. His love for us was the compass that guided his every decision. He shielded us from his struggles, choosing instead to bear them alone, a testament to his selfless nature. His sense of humor was his shield against the world's harsh realities, his laughter a melody that will continue to echo in our hearts.

Hector is survived by his loving mother, Mercedes Roman, and his equally dedicated daughter, Danielle DelValle. His memory is a treasure we will cherish, and his legacy an inspiration we will strive to uphold. His sisters, Migdalia & Leticia DelValle, who preceded him in death, will now welcome him into eternal rest.

Hector's life will be celebrated on Friday, December 15th, 2023, from 9:00 Am to 11:00 AM, at the Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home, 730 State Street, Springfield, MA., followed by his burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, 426 Bay Street, Springfield, MA. It is not a day to mourn his passing, but to celebrate a life well lived, a man well loved.
