Georgiannette Serrano, a beacon of resilience and love, born in Queens, New York on October 13, 1976, departed on February 24, 2026. A woman of indomitable spirit, Georgiannette spent her life in Springfield, Massachusetts, gracing the world with her unwavering kindness and compassion. Though she was never married or formally employed, Georgiannette found her life's purpose in the roles she cherished the most; a loving mother to her daughters, Kassandra Ortiz and Christel Carrer, and a devoted daughter to her mother, Gladys Rivera.

Georgiannette's life echoed the words of Eleanor Roosevelt, "With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts." Each day, she embraced with a heart full of love and a spirit that refused to falter, even in the face of adversity. Her laughter was infectious, her heart, boundlessly generous. She had a unique ability to see beauty in everything around her, and her optimism was a source of inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Despite being preceded in death by her father, Wilfredo Vazquez, Georgiannette's spirit was never daunted. She continued to radiate positivity and hope, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she left behind. A viewing will be held in her honor on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home, located at 730 State Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, 01109. Her interment will follow at 12:30pm, at the Oak Grove Cemetery of Springfield Inc., 426 Bay Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, 01109.
