Springfield- Franklyn Torres, Jr., 40, passed away on Thursday, March 25th, 2021. Franklyn was born in Brooklyn, New York, on May 29th, 1980, to Franklyn Torres and Rosaida Mercado. Franklyn worked for the Massachusetts Trial Court since 2001, and was Chief Court Officer at The Northampton Court Complex since 2018. Before that, he worked at Holyoke District Court and at the Springfield Hall of Justice, now the Roderick L. Ireland Courthouse. He enjoyed coaching Youth Baseball. He was a great husband, father, son and friend. His family was everything to him. He enjoyed spending as much family time with his wife and children. Franklyn was very much loved by his family. Franklyn leaves to cherish his memories his parents, his Wife: Marlia Santiago-Pabon, his Son: Franklyn X. Torres, Two Daughters: Dianaida and Nasia M. Torres, Two Brothers: Michael and Alex Otero, Four Sisters: SaraLyn Torres, Arlene Rivera, Ericka and Bonnie Otero, and a host of family and friends. Visitation hours will be on Tuesday, April 6th, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Wednesday, April 7th, 2021, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, at Puerta Del Cielo(r) Funeral Home, 730 State Street, Springfield, MA, followed by his burial at the Oak Grove Cemetery, 426 Bay Street, Springfield, MA.
