It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carmen Victoria Fernandez, fondly known by many as Vicky, who departed this world on October 10, 2026. Born in the heart of Santurce, Massachusetts, on December 09, 1973, Carmen grew up to be an adventurous spirit, a trait that would define her life and touch the lives of those around her. She was a beacon of light who brought fun, laughter, and joy wherever she went. Carmen was the embodiment of resilience, a quality that saw her through life's ups and downs with grace and fortitude. Her vivacious personality made her the life of every party she attended.

Carmen was not just blessed with a great sense of humor, but she was also incredibly generous, always ready to lend a helping hand. As her former role in the Springfield School Department as an accountability officer was a testament to her dedication, as she held herself and others to the highest standards. Carmen was also an accomplished volleyball player in her adolescence, a testament to her adventurous spirit. Her hobbies included dancing, joking, laughing, and hanging out with friends, all of which brought her immense joy.

Surviving Carmen are her beloved husband, Manuel Adorno; her children, Jhonathan, Vickyana, Carolina, Victor and Camila, her nephews Francheska, Michael, Nataniel, her Nephew-Grandson Israel, brothers Alexander and Nelson. She is predeceased by her parents, Carlos Fernandez and Carmen Gonzalez. Carmen held her family dear to her heart, especially her children, who meant the world to her. Her love for them was tangible, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience.

The viewing for Carmen V. Fernandez will be held at Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home, 730 State Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, 01109, on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. We encourage all those who knew and loved Carmen to join us in celebrating her life and bidding her farewell.
