Springfield- Carmelo O. Lopez, 74, passed away on Dec. 24. Carmelo was born in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico on February 18 to the late Carmelo Lopez and Candelaria Ortiz. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Maria M. Lopez. He is survived by his 4 sons, Carmelo Lopez Jr. Jose A. Lopez, Juan Lopez, Danny Lopez, 2 daughters, Maria D. Lopez, Margarita Celestino, 2 brothers, William and Miguelito, a sister Priscilla, and his 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Calling Hours will be Friday, Jan. 2, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Puerta Del Cielo(r) Funeral Home, 730 State St. The Funeral Services will be on Sat., Jan. 3, from 9:00am - 10:00 a.m. at 730 State St., followed by Burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
