Ana Hilda Lugo

Ana Hilda Lugo, born on June 5, 1931, in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, and a resident of Springfield, Massachusetts for 40 years, passed away on April 20, 2024. She never married but lived a full life filled with love for her family. Ana was courageous and resilient, displaying her strength in every aspect of her life. Her wit and humor made every gathering a joyous occasion, and her generosity was unparalleled. She had a love for cooking, and she made every meal a feast for her family. Ana also had a passion for music and dancing, her spirit lighting up any room she entered.

Ana is preceded in death by her parents, Luis Lugo and Maria Galarza, and her children, Norma Milanes, Maribel Milanes, Jose Rodriguez, and Maria Milanes. She is survived by her children, Blanca Alban, Irma Milanes, Raul Garay, Ramon Milanes, Roberto Milanes, Rosnilda Velez, and Romelia Velez. As the Irish proverb goes, "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal." Ana's love for her family will forever be remembered and cherished.

The viewing for Ana will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home, 730 State Street, Springfield, MA, followed by her burial at Oak Grove Cemetery of Springfield Inc., 426 Bay Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, 01109.
