Alfonso Aguila Porrata

We gather here to remember and celebrate the life of Alfonso Aguila Porrata, a man whose life was a testament to the power of hard work, dedication, and love. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on September 20, 1946, Alfonso soon developed a resilient spirit that would guide him throughout his life. As the famed author, Paulo Coelho, once penned, "The secret of life, though, is to fall seven times and to get up eight times." Alfonso did just that, embodying these words with a tenacity that was awe-inspiring.

Alfonso Aguila Porrata leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment in his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Alpilada Gonzalez Sierra, and his devoted children, Jose and Luz Aguila. He also leaves a host of family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso Aguila and Dominga Borrata. Alfonso Aguila Porrata was a man who understood the value of family, of hard work, and of life itself.

The viewing will be held at the Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home, 730 State Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, on Friday, November 1st, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by his burial at Fairview Cemetery, 687 Front Street, Chicopee, Massachusetts.
